I am a very special object in a dining room
When you see me you would come with your device and place it on me.

I could be used for anything like for school books

I am made out of hard plastic or wood with a flat surface.

I am used for putting many things on.

I can come in any color's.

I could be used for my things.

Keep your device safe

 

Keep your device safe by holding it with 2 hands. 

Keep your device by not eating by it.

You can also keep your device safe by putting it on a table.

Keep your device clean by not eating by it.

Keep your device clean by using putty and dabbing it on the keys.

Keep your device clean by using wipes to wipe your screen.

FIRE & ACE

I Believe that FUN is playing games with your friends. For example if you see someone sitting by themself go and play with them and make them happy.

I know for a fact that INTEGRITY is doing the right thing when no one is looking. For example if you go home and see dishes not washed do the dishes even if your parents don't ask you too. 

In my opinion RESPECT is not talking when the teacher is. Respect is also keeping your hands and feet to yourself. 

We all agree that EXCELLENCE is doing something in your own ability. Excellence is also being proud of the work you've done.

I believe that ACHIEVEMENT is accomplishing your goals and it is also  aiming hi.

I am certain that CONFIDENT'S is telling your parents if theirs something wrong. It also means saying your pepeha in front of the school or class. 

I feel that ENJOYMENT is having fun doing school and home activities.

On Tuesday 2nd of August room 6 did lei making. We used string, straws and flowers.

ST Johns

Yesterday 28th of July room 6 walked to the hall to learn about how to help someone that's unconscious. I learnt that if you see an unconscious person watch out for danger because you never know if its a set up and dangerous. The first step is to check if he is breathing. To wake him up by tapping his collarbone. Then put one hand of his forehead and one on his chin to make his head look up. Them move him on his side so if he vomits he wont choke.  

My Goals for Term 3

                            

 

 My goals this term is to listen to the teacher, show integrity and clean up after myself. Listening to the teacher is not talking when the teacher is. Showing integrity is being honest and being at the right place at the right time. After I make a mess I have to clean up my mess I made at home.

Starving for food

 I’m so hungry I could eat food like a starving lion.

My stomach sounds like an exploding volcano.

My tongue is salivating water like the ocean.

In the kitchen my mum is making pasta with vegetables.

It looks like someone vomited because the veggies makes it look like the food a person ate.

The best part is that it smells like my grandma's pasta.

Now my stomach is sounding like thunder.

I cannot wait! Now I'm feeling frustrated. Finally! the time has come.  We say Karakia and it's time to dig into the delicious meal

Hmmm… just like I remember the taste of how my grandma made it.

Going to Rainbowsend

On Friday 23 of July my family and my cousins went to rainbows end. The first ride we went on was stratosphere. We didn't go on the extreme because I didn't want to go on it because the extreme went upside down and the less extreme just kept going sideways. After we went on stratosphere we went on the fear fall. The fear fall high and dropped. I couldn’t breath and talk because it was a high drop and after the fall I was relieved because I could finally take a breath. We went to my mum and ordered food because we were all starving. I got corndogs and curly fries and a drink. After going on more rides it was getting late so we went home tired and exhausted. We drove to my cousin's house and my mum decided to go get us some clothes so we can sleep over.

On Thursday the 8th of July room six took a long walk to pan'save to learn about how many sugar is in food. In the morning we had a early morning tea before we go. Once we arrived at pakn'save I felt a cold breeze. The first thing we did was the bread. We walked to the bread isle and saw how much sugar, sodium, calcium, and fiber people put in it. After doing all that we all went out side and Mr. Sok gave us some big apples to eat.

Nutrition

Today room six learnt about nutrition. I learnt about our body. Eating healthy helps you to get strong and grow. Eating unhealthy will make you tired, weak and over weight. You should eat healthy everyday.  

Tahuna Torea

 

Yesterday room 6 and room 5 went for a walk to Tahuna Torea. The walk was about 3 hours. We walked pass Sacred Heart and pass Dre's house. I was behind the line leader while we were walking. We walked pass a lot of awesome houses. We walked passed Brooke's house. We kept walking then we ended up behind Point England. There was a German shepherd. Behind Point England it was a silver park and a beach. We had to eat our apples first before we go some were. The apples were really soft so I just threw my apple in the bin. Then I rushed to take off my socks and shoes then ran to the beach. The tide was out so there was a big spot were there was a big rock. So some of us went on it. It was really slippery that I nearly fell on my bottom. A few of us slipped and got injured on the leg. There was a lot of small and big holes in the rock and they were filled with water. So we put our feet in. After that we walked back to school and waited for the bell to ring.

Pencil

 The pencil was cheap looking, it had a ugly look to it. It's saving grace was that it was sharp, very sharp. Sharp enough to spear someone in the heart. I usually pretended that my pencil was like a sword used for fighting people. Teeth marks at the top from someone chewing it made it look like a dog's bite. The musty crusty pencil is now ugly and grose. My stink crusty pencil can still fight people and does the trick.   

Bo Peeps

 Yesterday Thursday Room 6 visited Bo Peeps. Once we walked down to Bo peeps Miss Kate told us some facts about the animals. The animals were a Lama, Alpaca, Goat, Brown rabbit, Donkey, Pony, and a baby alpaca. There was also a roster and a white rabbit with black spots on it.

The sad story of the big alpaca is that it got bulled and its owner cut its ears.

She gave us 4 palets to feed the goat, Lama and the Alpaca.

She also gave us 2 brushes to brush the pony and the donkey.

My favorite was the brown rabbit because rabbits are my favorite animal. 

  

Matariki

When the Matariki stars appear it is the beginning of the Maori new year.

We celebrate Matariki  like we celebrate your birthday.

Like sisters the stars shine bright like the flaming  sun.

Matariki is a time for joy like playing games and having fun.

It is a time to learn like being a good student and being taught by Mr. Sok

It is a time to plant crops like Potatoes, Kumala, and Tomatoes.

It is a time to hunt fish and hunt pigs

It is a time to make things like kites and flax bags.

It is a time to forgive and forget

Matariki reminds me of Christmas because you can give others gifts and things

Visiting Harold the giraffe

 Yesterday and Today we visited Harolds van. We learnt to put yourself 

in other peoples shoes. For eg.
